Modern life disconnects us from our bodies, senses, environments, and one another.
Art can interrupt that numbness and return us to a more vivid state of presence.

I am a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, photographer, creative director, and ecstatic dance DJ.

For more than sixteen years, I have worked with moving and still images, documenting people, communities, performances, environments, and stories that might otherwise remain unseen. My creative practice has gradually expanded beyond the frame into sound, movement, spirituality, clothing, and participatory experiences.

I am drawn to texture, atmosphere, rhythm, emotion, and the sensory details that give a place its identity. I am interested in what happens when we slow down enough to notice: the sound of a room, the movement of fabric, the feeling of light, the rhythm of a landscape, or the moment a person becomes fully present in their body.

My work is rooted in observation, intimacy, transformation, and connection.

My visual work explores people, place, identity, culture, and lived experience.

As a filmmaker and photographer, I am often drawn to documentary-style storytelling and the moments that exist between performance and vulnerability. I create portraits, films, and visual narratives that help people feel witnessed rather than simply represented.

My current storytelling direction, Untold Stories, centers the people, communities, and experiences that deserve deeper attention, and celebrates bravery and authenticity in branding.

Sound + Ecstatic Dance

Alongside a dedicated team, I helped bring Ecstatic Dance to Electric Forest for the first time, introducing this embodied movement practice to one of the country’s most iconic music festivals.

As DJ Grace, I create immersive musical journeys that move through ambient, spiritual house, tribal and world-influenced electronic music, Afro-inspired rhythms, conscious lyrics, and expansive moments of release.

I am a resident DJ with Chicago Ecstatic Dance and made my festival debut performing ecstatic dance at Electric Forest in 2026.

I approach DJing as a form of emotional storytelling. Each set is shaped as an arc, inviting reflection, intensity, sensuality, freedom, and eventual return.

My music is deeply inspired by the music of the culture when I travel. With a playlist for every place I've visited, music becomes a record of the landscapes, people, emotions, and discoveries I encounter. These sounds later find their way into my DJ sets, allowing travel to continue moving through the body long after the journey ends.

Wearable Design

I design clothing as a form of armor, protective yet fluid, allowing freedom of movement. My work explores the balance between structure and softness, creating garments that feel grounding, expressive, and unrestricted.

Movement is central to my designs, with wide silhouettes and flowing forms inspired by Japanese hakama. Influenced by Reiki and mindfulness practices, I see clothing as carrying energy through its materials, construction, and the way it shapes how we feel in our bodies.

In 2026, I created my first collection through Chicago’s AIBI fashion cohort, featuring a hakama-inspired pant, an oversized jacket, and a mindfulness bandana. I am currently finalizing fabrics and production, with each piece exploring protection, ritual, and intentional self-expression.

Ritual + Healing Arts

I am a Reiki Master, yoga teacher, meditation guide, and facilitator of intimate healing experiences.

This work has changed the way I approach art. It has taught me to listen more deeply, create safer environments, honor intuition, and understand presence as both an artistic method and a form of care.

Through Reiki, sound, movement, ritual, retreats, and contemplative practices, I explore how creative experiences can help people reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner lives.
